Memory Lane
Application name: Memory Lane
Purpose: Memory Lane is a Roku TV application that lets users securely connect their Google Photos account, select albums, and display the selected photos and videos on their own television.
The app is designed for private, personal viewing at home. Memory Lane does not replace Google Photos or provide public sharing.
How it works
From Google Photos to your Roku TV

Connect Google Photos
The user selects “Connect Google Photos” in the Memory Lane Roku app and completes Google’s authorization process on a phone or computer.

Select albums
The user chooses which Google Photos albums are available to Memory Lane. Content outside those selections is not displayed.

View photos and videos
The selected albums can be browsed on Roku. Users can view photos full-screen and play their selected videos.

Stay in control
The connected Google account is shown in Settings. Users can change their selections or disconnect Google Photos at any time.

Why Memory Lane requests Google Photos access
Memory Lane requests Google Photos access only to retrieve and display the albums, photos, and videos the user chooses for viewing on their Roku TV.
How the data is used
- To show selected albums on the Roku app
- To display selected photos and play selected videos
- To show which Google account is connected
- To let the user disconnect and remove the connection
What Memory Lane does not do
QapHub does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, create advertising profiles, use it to train artificial-intelligence models, or make it public. Memory Lane does not operate a separate server that stores the contents of a user’s Google Photos library.
Privacy and control
Your account and content remain under your control
Users choose which content is available to Memory Lane. Disconnecting Google Photos removes the app’s authorization, deletes its Google Photos Ambient device connection, and clears locally stored credentials from the Roku device.
