Memory Lane · Legal
Privacy policy
Memory Lane is a Roku application that lets you choose Google Photos albums and display their photos and videos on your TV.
Effective July 22, 2026
1. Who we are
Memory Lane is developed and operated by QapHub (“QapHub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Questions about this policy or the application can be sent to davismm85@gmail.com.
2. Information Memory Lane accesses
After you choose to connect a Google account, Memory Lane requests permission to use the Google Photos Ambient API. This access may include:
- Basic Google account information needed to complete authorization.
- The albums you select through Google’s album-selection experience.
- Photos, videos, thumbnails, filenames, media types, dimensions, and related identifiers made available for those selected albums.
- Authorization tokens and Google Photos Ambient device and session identifiers required to keep your Roku connected.
Memory Lane does not request access to albums you have not selected through the Google-provided selection flow.
3. How information is used
Google user data is used only to authenticate your account, show the albums you selected, and display their photos and videos on your Roku. It is not used for advertising, audience profiling, credit decisions, surveillance, or training artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
4. Storage, transmission, and retention
Memory Lane communicates directly from your Roku to Google’s authorization and Google Photos services. QapHub does not operate a separate server that receives or stores the contents of your Google Photos library.
Your Roku stores the authorization information and application identifiers needed to remain connected. Media and thumbnails may be downloaded to temporary Roku storage so they can be shown or played. Roku can clear temporary storage automatically, and uninstalling Memory Lane removes its local application storage.
Authorization information remains on the Roku until you disconnect the Google account, revoke access in your Google Account settings, uninstall the application, or Roku clears the application data.
5. Sharing and disclosure
QapHub does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with advertisers or data brokers. Data is transmitted to Google as needed to provide the requested service and may be processed by Roku as part of the device platform. We may disclose information if required by applicable law or to address fraud, security, or abuse, but only to the extent legally necessary.
6. Your choices and deletion
You control which albums are available to Memory Lane through Google’s selection flow. In Memory Lane, press the Roku * button and choose the disconnect option to remove locally stored credentials and request revocation and deletion of the associated Google Photos Ambient device connection.
You can also revoke Memory Lane’s access from the third-party connections area of your Google Account. Uninstalling the Roku application removes its locally stored data, although revoking access through Google is the most complete way to end authorization.
7. Security
Memory Lane uses Google’s device authorization flow and encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we limit access and retention to what the application needs to work.
8. Google API Services User Data Policy
Memory Lane’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
9. Children’s privacy
Memory Lane is a general-audience application and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through a QapHub server.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Memory Lane changes or legal requirements evolve. The effective date at the top will be revised when a change is posted. Material changes will be communicated through the application or this website when appropriate.
