Flight Lane · Legal
Privacy policy
Flight Lane shows aircraft near a location you choose. It is designed to collect as little personal information as possible.
Effective July 22, 2026
1. Who we are
Flight Lane is developed and operated by QapHub (“QapHub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Questions about this policy or the application can be sent to IHATENEST@gmail.com.
2. Information Flight Lane uses
- Your entered address is sent securely to Flight Lane’s Cloudflare service and forwarded to Google Geocoding only when you save or change it. Flight Lane does not retain or intentionally log the street address.
- The resulting address, coordinates, radar radius, display preference, application token, and 24-hour flyover history are stored locally on your Roku.
- Coordinates are sent to Flight Lane while the application is active to request aircraft information and map imagery. Short-lived geographic cache entries reduce duplicate provider requests.
- During a closed beta, a one-way hash of the Roku application installation identifier may be stored for access control for up to 120 days. The raw installation identifier is not retained.
3. How information is used
Location information is used only to center the map, find nearby aircraft, calculate distance and projected paths, and display relevant flight details. It is not used for advertising, profiling, surveillance, or training artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
4. Service providers
Cloudflare processes application requests. Google receives an address for geocoding or coordinates for map imagery. Airplanes.live receives a geographic search point and radius. FlightAware receives selected flight identifiers to return available route and schedule details. Planespotters.net may receive a selected aircraft registration to return an attributed aircraft image. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Logging, retention, and sharing
Operational logs may record the requested service route, response status, cache status, timing, and provider errors. They do not intentionally record street addresses, precise coordinates, access tokens, or provider credentials. QapHub does not sell or rent personal information and does not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Short-lived cache entries expire automatically. Local settings and flyover history remain on the Roku until changed, cleared by Roku, or removed by uninstalling the application. Closed-beta access records expire automatically and may be revoked by QapHub.
6. Your choices and deletion
You can change the saved location and radar radius from Flight Lane’s Settings screen. Removing Flight Lane clears its local Roku registry data. To request help with beta access information, email IHATENEST@gmail.com.
7. Security
Flight Lane uses encrypted HTTPS connections and keeps aircraft-data and map-provider credentials off the Roku. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, but we limit information collection, access, and retention to what the application needs to operate.
8. Children’s privacy
Flight Lane is a general-audience application and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Flight Lane changes or legal requirements evolve. The effective date will be revised when changes are posted. Material changes will be communicated through the application or this website when appropriate.
